Hey Lash Lovers. Welcome to the Divine Lashes v. So, you got terrible eyelashes and now you want to remove them?
Well, in today’s video, I’m going to give you a full removal in a salon setting. This appointment was about 30 minutes, but for the sake of this video, I sped it up so we could go through the process together faster.
So let’s get started!
Key conclusions:
- The lack of regulation in the eyelash extension industry results in significant differences in the techniques and materials used from salon to salon.
- The classic set featured in the video had long, thick extensions that didn’t separate properly, potentially causing damage if left for a long time.
- Using a creamy remover with precise application ensures that only the glue is targeted, minimizing the risk of damage to natural lashes.

This client had her lashes done about two weeks ago while visiting a different city. She found that her eyelashes were starting to itch and become irritated, so she decided to have them removed.
For the sake of this video, I will only show you the removal in one eye, but the procedure is done in both eyes at the same time.
First, we’ll apply eye pads and tape to separate her lashes. Let’s take a closer look at its extensions. Eyelash extension is not a regulated industry, so from salon to salon, the technique and materials can vary greatly.
For example, this was a classic set. You can see that the extensions selected were very long and thick. They were also not separated properly. So many of the extensions were stuck together and some of them were too far away from the skin causing them to twist and turn.
If she continued for a long time with these extensions, she would have damaged her natural eyelashes.
When I do a full removal, I like to use the creamy type. I love using this product because the creamy texture allows me to see exactly where I’m applying the product.
I really pack it into focusing on where the extensions are attached. The remover only targets the glue, so you never have to worry about the remover damaging your natural lashes.
I like to apply this product as close to the roots as possible without touching the skin. And because it’s a very thick consistency, I have better control applying this product to the hairs and I like to use a tissue square so that the under eye patches and band always stay clean.
After the remover is well applied all over, I let it sit for a few minutes. I know when subtraction works.
Once the extensions start to slip off the natural lashes, if it’s not quite ready, I would add a little more product and let it sit longer. I take my applicator and lint free towel and carefully remove the extensions starting from one side to the other.
Most of the extensions were removed, but a few stubborn strands remained. For these, I will use my tweezers and gently remove them one by one.
Now take a new applicator with no lift and a tissue and carefully wipe the natural lashes. This is to ensure that no product is left behind. Finally, I clean the natural lashes with lash shampoo, rinse the lashes and then dry the lashes.
Having your extensions professionally removed is a safe, quick and delicate procedure. When extensions are done right, you can expect them to fall out naturally.
However, removal is recommended when the job is not done well, as in this case. And now we peel off everything carefully and the appointment is complete.
Just remember, every artist has their own process method, so your experience may be a little different.
I hope you enjoyed watching this video and now have a good idea of what to expect when you get your lashes removed.
Please share your questions and comments with me below as I would always love to hear from you.
Until next time. Goodbye.
